Scalamandre Fabric introduces it’s newest collection of indoor/outdoor textiles. The Isola collection is an island inspired assortment of fabrics that are sophisticated and stylish, while also being high performance.
The sophisticated palette is influenced by clear tropical waters, sandy beaches, leafy palm trees and vivid sunsets.
The Isola collection is ideal for active interior and exterior environments. Artisanal dyeing techniques are interpreted as graphic prints to provide the luxurious look you’re going for without sacrificing high fade resistance, durability, and washability.
Patterns within Isola Collection:
Amalfi Weave by Scalamandre Fabric is a up close heather pattern with various spacing.
Antiqua Weave is a diamond tiled pattern with playful lines and geometric shapes within.
ARUBA & MALTA SHEER
The Aruba & Malta Sheer are two linen colored semi-sheer fabrics with slightly varying textured looks.
Bali Floral is a high endurance fabric, that mimics a hand printed tropical floral. The graphic is screen printed on, but gives the illusion of traditional indoor fabric.
Like the Bali Floral, the Borneo Ikat from Scalamandre is a fun playful ikat pattern screen printed to mimic hand printing.
The Roatan weave mimics a basket woven look with a simplistic over and under repeating pattern in four fun tropical colorways.
Lush and plush Bay Velvet available in the Scalamandre Isola collection colorways.
The Lisbon Weave is a hexagonal minimal pattern with star shapes radiating outward from each geometric formation.
Santorini Stripe is a classic varying width stripe, built with the long run in mind for active indoor or outdoor settings.
A classic herringbone pattern, with smaller details.
The Fiji Weave mimics the effect of hand printing with leaves in this fresh and fluent pattern.
The Corsica Weave up close imitates a micro honey comb pattern, perfect for displaying the aquatic colors you want, but keeping it interesting.
The last pattern in this Scalamandre Fabric collection is the Tahiti Tweed, a simple tweed fabric in fun tropical outdoor color ways. These fabrics are meant for the outdoors, so they are resistant to sun and stains.

Our story begins in 1987 when founder and designer Frank Keshishian launched L.A. Design Concepts a residential interior design firm.
While Mr. Keshishian designed homes for his clients, he recognized a fast growing market of consumers who preferred to make their own design decisions. Understanding that desire, Frank created the first design service offering consumer access to designer "trade only" furnishings.
In 1988, L.A. Design Concepts was nationally recognized as a groundbreaking company revolutionizing consumer access. The Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles was very intrigued with L. A. Design Concepts working model and approached Frank in 1990 to formulate a consumer service program within their design center. L.A. Design Concepts was now the first service within a design center providing consumer access to “trade only? furnishings. Shortly thereafter, an increasing number of interior designers and architects recognized the value of streamlining their access through one single source. Our service allowed designers to focus on designing for their clients without having to maintain accounts with each individual manufacturer.
