Established by the interior designer that bears its name, Nina Campbell Fabric collections embody a quiet sophistication that has been the result of a lifelong passion for beauty and originality. Nina Campbell is not only one of the most influential interior designers of today. Her fabrics, wallpapers, carpets, and accessories, celebrated for their style and quality by interior decorators worldwide, have been featured in countless design magazines such as House & Garden, Country Homes & Interiors, Elle Decoration, The English Home, and many others. The Journey of a talented interior designer: Campbell recognized her interest in interior design beginning the age of twelve. Having a multi-ethnic family - with a Viennese mother and a Scottish father - exposed Campbell to luxury and art from the very beginning. Before she was even twenty, she has worked with John Fowler of Colefax and Fowler, turning her passion into a lifetime career. In 1974 she established her company and in 2009 launched a furniture line. As a world-class designer, she has worked with some of the most illustrious clients the world over, including Rod Stewart, The Queen of Denmark, and the Duke and Duchess of York. Due to her cosmopolitan background, the predominant style of her brand reflects a kind of easy going luxury. Having worked at Colefax and Fowler, the designer learned how to give each interior its own breathing space and an inimitable personality. She is known to mix the traditional with the contemporary freely, such as pairing antique furniture pieces with contemporary textiles. Nina Campbell Fabric are an interesting play of colors, vibrancy, and pattern, divided into collections that tell a story. The Luscious Fabric Collections: From rich florals and elegant stripes to the more whimsical patterns, Her Fabric choices effortlessly redefine classical luxury in a generation of modern, cosmopolitan styles. The collections are designed to be used for a range of applications, whether for table linens and accessories or for art pieces. Several of the more memorable fabric collections are Autumn 2010, Sylvana Autumn 2009, Lombardia Spring 2009, Giverny Autumn 2008, Belzoro Spring 2008, and Birdcage Walk Autumn 2006. Our story begins in 1987 when founder and designer Frank Keshishian launched L.A. Design Concepts a residential interior design firm.
While Mr. Keshishian designed homes for his clients, he recognized a fast growing market of consumers who preferred to make their own design decisions. Understanding that desire, Frank created the first design service offering consumer access to designer "trade only" furnishings.
In 1988, L.A. Design Concepts was nationally recognized as a groundbreaking company revolutionizing consumer access. The Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles was very intrigued with L. A. Design Concepts working model and approached Frank in 1990 to formulate a consumer service program within their design center. L.A. Design Concepts was now the first service within a design center providing consumer access to “trade only? furnishings. Shortly thereafter, an increasing number of interior designers and architects recognized the value of streamlining their access through one single source. Our service allowed designers to focus on designing for their clients without having to maintain accounts with each individual manufacturer.
